Hello, I am Adrian. I am 26 years old and I have been a Professional DM for 4 years now and have DMing for many years before that back into high school. My DMing style can swing between heavy role play and heavy combat depending on the current objective and player decisions. My combats can be very difficult but fair, you will not stumble into a unwinnable combat. Character death is very much a possibility if the dice decide it. I would call all my games very sandboxy, in that the players choose what to do and I will prepare the road ahead of them. Their may be a overarching threat to deal with but the players decide how they are going to handle it. If you have any questions about my self please feel free to ask. Pay to Play & Time: This is a weekly pay to play game on Tuesdays at 7:00PM US central time. Games will last 3 hours. The price is $20 a session and is to be payed weekly through Startplaying.games. Be aware start playing fees increase the total price to around $22 dollars per session. This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $20 ($22 after fees) per weekly session. Payment will be done through Startplaying.games. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements The Setting: It is the age of myth. The world is untamed and home to creatures of chaos. In the north the world's only empire is in its earliest days. The Empire of Fey, they conquered the northern lands quickly and now demand tribute from their weaker neighbors. To the south is the center of known civilization, the city states of men and dwarves, and their respective small-folk. The dwarves dwell in the mountains, aspiring to create a great empire like the one told of in their legends. The gnomes work under them, though they care little for dwarf talk. Most are content to work on their crafts, eat their fill, and not go looking for trouble. The humans settle the rivers between the great mountains and build ships to explore the south sea. Their sailors talk of a great desert to the south where dragon-men will trade ivory, and precious gems. The halflings happily working their fields under the protection of the armies of man, think nothing of the outside world. Their only worry in life is what trouble the humans will next bring upon them. In the great band of wilderness between the Empire of Fey and the southern cities states, chaos rules the land. First there are the goblins, vile creatures of the night. Often they will steal from the settlements that dare try to tame the wilds and if in large enough numbers they will raid with only one goal. Take everything they can and destroy the rest. Next there are the orcs, monsters thought to have climbed from the core of the world to smother the sun. They hide in the deep forests during the day and hunt for the flicker of fire light at night. And third there are the kin-eaters, a term that describes a man or dwarf who has fallen to the night. They have feasted on the flesh of their own and now shun the sun like any creature of chaos. Lastly and worst of all, there are those humans & dwarfs that willingly embrace the night, the Princes of chaos. These monsters are the nightmares of all that lives in the light and it is feared that one day they will make the orc’s dark want reality. The Start: The party will start as level 1 novices of their chosen class. They have just been recruited by the bard Sirciro. A close servant of Lord Thull, a feared prince of chaos. You may have joined willingly, been forced to by circumstances, or were bought from vile slavers. Sirciro swears whatever horrible past you have endured employment under Lord Thull will be better especially for those freed from the slaver's chains. You now travel with the bard and several of the Dark Lord’s minions to their fortress in the rock of the World Wound. Not long after the start of your journey an accident will separate you and the bard from the other minions and you must continue the journey with no supplies and only a injured bard to aid you. The characters will spend their first two levels in the service of Lord Thull. Upon reaching third level events will force the party into the wilderness where they must survive with both the dark and light hunting them. Restrictions Races: Player races are restricted to dwarves, gnomes, humans, and halflings. These races are the common races that are not monstrous within the setting. Other races are absent or rare, such as the elves of the Empire of Fey. Banned Class: Artificer, I feel the class would not fit with the bronze/early iron age setting. Spell Restrictions: Any spell that creates an extra dimensional space, allows planer travel, or resurrection are not allowed. While these actions are possible they are not with a simple spell. A quest would have to be taken or a powerful ritual would need to be performed to achieve such greatness. If you are interested please contact me on discord using my username below or here on roll20.
